Rise in Confidence

Building Confidence Through Hands-On Conceptual Learning

We empower students to build deep understanding and overcome anxiety. By using a multisensory approach inspired by neurodiversity, we help every learner find their unique path to success.

About Rise In Confidence

Confidence is a skill, not a personality trait. We create a joyful, judgment-free zone where making mistakes is just part of the learning process.

Our teaching framework is inspired by neurodiversity but designed for every learner.

ABOUT US

Every Student Deserves to Learn in the Way Their Brain Understands Best

We teach the student, not the curriculum — with a framework that honors how all minds learn: step by step, from concrete to concept.

At Rise in Confidence Tutoring, we believe learning should feel possible and personal. Whether your child learns differently or simply needs more confidence in math, our approach meets them where they are — and builds from there.

We specialize in supporting students with learning differences such as dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia, and executive functioning challenges, while also helping neurotypical learners strengthen their reasoning, memory, and mastery through the same evidence-based methods.

OUR APPROACH

How We Turn Confusion Into Confidence

Concrete

Tactile Anchoring

We ground abstract mathematical concepts in tactile experience. By engaging with physical manipulatives—such as base-ten blocks and counters—students build the cognitive foundation required for deep number sense, ensuring they understand the reality of numbers before facing the symbols.

Representational

Visual Synthesis

We facilitate the critical transition from physical objects to mental imagery. Through schematic drawings and color-coded mapping, students learn to visualize mathematical relationships, creating a neurological bridge between hands-on activity and written fluency.

Conceptual

Abstract Proficiency

With a robust multisensory foundation, students achieve independent mastery. They transition to solving problems using standard notation not through rote memorization, but through internalized logic—empowering them to approach complex equations with clarity and confidence.

OUR APPROACH

The "Concrete-to-ConceptTM" Framework

1. Concrete (Build It)

The “Doing” Phase. We start with physical tools (manipulatives) to make abstract ideas tangible. This removes the fear of the unknown.

2. Visual (See It)

The Bridge. We translate those physical objects into drawings and diagrams. This connects the “real world” object to the numbers on the page.

3. Conceptual (Master It)

The “Knowing” Phase. Finally, we move to standard notation. Because of steps 1 & 2, students reach this level with deep understanding.

OUR SERVICES

Personalized conceptual instruction for students

Building understanding through individualized instruction, small-group collaboration, and professional growth for educators who teach with heart.

Personalized Tutoring

We move beyond rote memorization.
Using the Concrete, Visual, and Conceptual progression (CRA), we build a custom roadmap to rebuild number sense.

Concept Workshops

Math becomes social. Students tackle specific hurdles—like fractions— through games and collaboration. A low-pressure environment to replace anxiety with curiosity.

Test Preparation

Standardized tests measure strategy. We teach students how to decode exam language and manage time using Executive Function techniques.

Learning Difference Support

Specialized instruction for Dyscalculia, Dyslexia, ADHD, and diverse learning profiles. We engage visual and tactile strengths to bypass barriers.

School Partnerships

Elevate intervention programs. We partner with schools to design “push- in” or “pull-out” support models that align with your curriculum.

Teacher PD Workshops

Equip educators with high-leverage, multisensory tools. Our sessions provide neuroscience-informed techniques that work for a learners.

TESTIMONIALS

What Parents Are Saying

We are proud to play a part in helping students find their confidence. Here are some stories from parents who have seen their children grow and learn to love math again. We love being a part of their journey to success.
